Hi all, anyone wanting to increase their ricordea Florida colour variation like I want to can post pics and description of colour they have available for swop only together with size. Please only post if you want to swop. This is not a discussion topic.

Don't pm me if you want to buy, I will not reply to pm enquiring about sale of rics. Please post in this thread first a pic and description of colour and size of ric, pic / description of colour / size (cm) required as lighting and camera skills vary from person to person. I am in East London and I don't know where you are so be honest when providing details about the ric. Also include if it is on some rock or if it is free floating.

Shipping arrangement will be via overnight post net.

If agreed in this thread we can take it to pm's and then whatsapp or telephonic communication to arrange shipping and get each other's details.

I am not selling so don't ask.

I have the following colour variation available: 1. lumo green, 2. orange and 3. gold/yellow, this is dependent on your lights which could be different to mine. Also water conditions differ from tank to tank so colours will likely change.

    Examples of what I have.

I'm keen, post a pic when you have a chance and describe colour, can't always tell from the pics if they are green, purple or yellow etc. ps no rush, these corals take for ever to split.

Cool. Is it a Florida or Yuma? Difficult to say from the pic as I can't see the mouth. Which one of the colours that I have do you want in exchange?

I have tried them before and for some reasons the do not survive past 2 weeks. They suddenly just melt away. No hate, a nice thing about Yuma is the colour variations available are great, but if they don't survive in my tank I am not going to trade for them.

I thought I had the solution to keeping them when I bought a chiller, kept temp stable and tried them again but no luck.

    Sorry once again.

I had two floridas that also started to shrivel and fade away i had them growing soo well and even had one split and gave it to waterboy as a trade for some hard wear and some time after that they died now trying my hand at getting them going again , why not take one more chance on them i could help you with it all if you are willing .
This is what mine looked like now only down to one ,

Mine are thriving. I got them from another MASA member about five months ago for a new tank I started (He was shutting down his). They were brown, but have been colouring up nicely and there are new little ones on the rock.

A Yuma has little pimples on its mouth where the mouth of the florida is smooth.
