Set up my R/O unit today only to find it pushing out way more "waste" water than R/O water is this correct?

Yes its correct you got to run it for 6-8hours first without you membrain just to flush for 2 hours then connect your membrain and run for another 3-4 hours, and pls only 25lts every 1,5-2 hours only, you should see your tds drop by the 5th day or so and every time you run your ro first flush your ro without your membrain for 10 mins and reconnect again and you ready to use,if you do this every time your membrain should last you 2 years or so your other filters should be changed every 3 months or so for opt results

IMarine is right. Give it a few days to settle and run it like he said. If you have a pool you can use the waste water to fill it

Drink the waste water, better tasting than bottled water and way cheaper

    eish......wors143
where did you get that unit from.

some of the parts look like one of my machines but it seems like someone reassembled that machine with the wrong parts.

1: the bracket is definatly the wrong bracket for those housings
2: cannot see if there is a waste flow restrictor (possible cause to your problem)
3: resin is already brown (exhausted)
4: mains pressure could be to low

call me in the morning on 082 879 39 43
i can find out the origins of that slapped together machine, find out whats up with it and sort you out.

if its a imitation or copy of our machines, ill still hook you up.

just call me so we can trouble shoot for you:thumbup:
