Hey all

One of my pump's controller boxes has the red 'power' light lit. I've switched the power supply off, no avail. Changed pumps to the other controller, works 100%. Seems like this controller suddenly stopped working. What does the red light mean, and how can I rectify the problem.

Thanx
Tinus

Hey Tinus. The red light indicates that there is power being received on the controller. When you plug the pump into the controller, does the pump come on at all?
I had a similar problem quite a few times with mines, although it was not giving of the small, medium and large waves, the pump still ran. What i did was, left the pump plugged into the controller and switched the main power heading to the controller off and on several times. It eventually worked perfect.

HI, are u refereing to the 15000? Yes, it happens some times. you need to disconnect the box from the pump and give it 5 mins. Plug back on and it works

Hi all! Well it seems like the problem is sorted - finally. It turned out to be a short on the outlet, as well as a blown diode and some other weird chip that was broken. That's on the one controller. On the other controller, it turned out to be only the red light that's broken :) Will be installing the 2nd Resun in my tank this afternoon after I return from my flight - didn't know pumps can make such a difference to a tank!!!!!! Thanx for all the help! :) T

Did you take it to an electronics shop to be repaired?

I also have a problem with one of my Resun's. The one Pump stays on high speed, even though it flashes from low to high flow on the controller. Have switched it off numerous times, disconnected the wires etc, but to no avail.... .
Glad you got yours sorted
