as the title implies, I am trying to remove silicone from glass. I recently took my tank down and want to keep the glass for a future build but would like to take off as much of the silicone as possible and leave it nice and clean.

Any good tips please ?

Elbow grease and an abundance of sharp blades.

Wipe clean with methylated spirits prior to reglueing

After you've scraped off the majority of the silicone, put some turpentine on a cloth and wipe this over the bit that's left. Wait a minute and then try scraping it off again - the last bit comes off much easier this way (sometimes you need to wipe the turps on twice). I use Stanley knife blades and a plastic window cleaning scraper to hold them. Make sure you clean the glass well (water and then meths) before you glue it again.
