    Hello everybody
Im sick n tired of having Aptasia, iv tried Aptasia X, Slaked lime, etc. just doesnt work for me, so last weekend iv taken out 5 pieces of LR with Aps on, to put in the sun for 2 weeks, then il cure them in a small tank for 2 weeks, while taking some other pieces of LR out for this cycle, Iv got a 300 L total, 3 years running, LPS system.
Please give me advise, what am I doing, how should I be doing it, what should I not do, i know im missing something, thanx so long

Yup that is the best way. When you recycle the rock in the small tank just keep an eye on the PO4 of the water. Best to treat the PO4 out of your tank.

okay so if the first batch of LR is recycled, i put it back in the tank, just for the aps to start growing on those pieces again, because some aps is growing on the back glass pane of the tank, and i dont want to use kalk on the acrylic, im afraid it will eat a hole in the glass, plus there will be some pieces o fLR with aps still in the tank, what do i do

Bud you will have to remove all the aiptaser from the tank before putting the cured rock back. That includes the aiptaser in the overflows and sump.

I fear that you have aiptasia spores in the water column and even on the rock, you just cant see them. I went through the same issue and all i can tell you is good luck, they are near impossible to get rid of unless they are preyed upon

what impact will it have on my corals if i was to take out 90% of LR to sun dry, then cure, (just to lessen the amount of aps in my tank first, then fight the remaining aps) filtration probly would take a knock, i do have a remote DSB, overrated skimmer plus NP Reactor, would u recommend it

Bud like @rakabos says. Do it properly the first time or don't do it al all and get a fish to consume them.

You will be disappointed if you try and take short cuts.

Hey Fredo, the zapper works great on the bigger aip's but unfortunately not so effective on the smaller one's unless you have Bruce Lee like reflex. I had the same problem as you, what worked for me was zapper for the bigger basterds and my CBB and peppermint shrimps sorted out the rest.

    Hi Stanley
i got rid of 99.9 percent of aptasia through diligently feeding them aptasia-X. Took me a year or 2 though.
