I recently got a 2nd hand tank, the back pane is painted blue. I want to remove the paint and paint it black.

How do I go about removing the blue paint?

    Would paint stripper be OK?

    Hi Gawie

I dont know if it would be safe as it might harm the joints of the silicone. Why not buy some ABS sheeting and silicone it on the inside.

Just use a normal paint scraper. The cheap plastic ones with the stanley blade in front works well.

I though about that bu do not like the idea of having a possible detritus trap behind my scape. It will be very difficult to fix if it starts coming loose. If possible I prefer to take the blue off and paint it black.

If its not possible I'll have to go the ABS route.
