Hi all

What is the best way to remove a clam that has well and truly attached himself to a rock?

I have tried to persuade him to let go by gently nudging him and slightly twisting but I don't want to stress him too much.

I suggest cutting the bysal (spelling) glands with a scalpel as close to the rock as possible. As long as you don't tear them you should not experience any problems. I've done it with mine that attached to the glass.

so when can icome collect it ?

Yeah, what you gonna do with it? Might be interested if your getting rid of it

Thank you cybervic, as for the rest of you vultures....go away
