Hey there lenks .... Are you driving down or flying down .... how many fish and other livestock you talking about? What are their average sizes? May a list of this livestock will help us help you get them there all safe and sound .... Pity theres no ocean near JHB you could have put them in and gave them the GPS cordinates and let them swim their way to your new home ... but since theres no sea there thats not an option ... lets see what other plan we can make

thanks folks..... the reason i've been off line for a while is just plain hectic at work.... in the meantime, i have managed to move ALL the fishies to CT - one of our trucks was travelling down relatively empty, so I got a really big styrofoam coolerbox, put them in there, did the whole battery bubbles thing and voila!
am really lucky tho, that 1stly the truck has airsuspension (we work in electronics, so this is our standard) and 2ndly, my sister who lives in CT is an aquarium enthusiast, so she's set up a temp home for them there.
thanks tho to all the folks who gave of their insight!
as to the rest of the livestock i have to move - 2 dogs, 3 cats, an african grey parrot, 2 lovebirds, the pond etc etc etc. HMMMMMM soooooo going to be an interesting drive down!
