So on Sunday morning I notices some whitespot on my regal.
Parameters all good and no real chages other than slowly increasing KH.

I fed garlic and Nori and the following day whitespot gone - is there more to this or have I solved the problem?

I have read up on the threads regarding removing the whitespot from the tank but I believe that it will just be a matter of time before I get it again so would just rather manage it.

Any advise would be much appreciated??

Regals are notorious with white spot but they seem to be a lot more hardy than other fish IMO. Every now and then I see it on my regal. Unfortunately the WS is in your system and to rid it completely, you would need to run your tank for 6weeks with no live stock...

You can try running UV to rid it or dose vitamins with the fish food to manage it...

Thanks - the others are all 100%
I dont want to run UV as it kills good bacteria also.
Any vitamins that can be recommended to keep immune levels at peak?

Vitachem by "Boyds" is what I use as a multivitamin, a few drops every other day added to their food.

Not to cure, they assist in feeding on the WS parasites on the fish

you can also treat with an antibiotic - will make your regal immune to WS. seachem metronidazole mix with seachem focus in frozen food you feed..... a couple drops of myaxzin in frozen food as well.... you can alternate between the meds as per directions on the bottle.

I had success with something called Herbtana I think its called. Won't cure the fish but acts as vitamin that strengthens fish immune system. Only thing is you need to use for at least 10 days straight.
