i would say about halfway up the skimmer body, maybe 5cm -10cm above the pump inlet

Thanks dallasg. Do you know the total from bottom to water level. I need this specific dimension to send to the guy who will build my sump. I will have a 2 chamber sump and need this dimensions for the divider.

the best plan is to have the first chamber as high/full as possible and second chamber lower for the return.
then put the skimmer on a stand, what is the sump dimensions?

The sump dimensions at the moment is 530 x 300 x 300. (I'm still planning so this is not final) So what height should I make the divider? Sorry, I'm just getting so many different opinions on this that I don't know which way to go.

i would say go with 530x300 and 400 high, highest baffle at 300, which will allow some space so no flooding etc

then place the skimmer on an egg crate stand, can go higher if needed

I am going to use 2 lifetech 1200 l/ph pumps. So about 2400 litre in total.

I am using a similar design as @Visser for the tank with 2 inlets. That is the reason for the 2 pumps. :)

ok cool, then make the return section just a little smaller and maximise filter space

My TS1 is in deeper water, basically just under the outlet level by max 10mm. Not using those donut sponges either, The skimmer stands on top of PVC pipe stand
