Our first ROTM, and here they are

My name is Hayley and my husband is Steven, which some of you would recognize as Hails and Butcherman on MASA. I’ve had fish in my life from a young age, catching baby mollies to put in the nursery before Primary School was the norm in my house but Steven and I have kept fish as a couple since 2006, starting off with Goldfish, and then slowly progressing to Mollies, Swordtails, Guppies and finally to Angels and Discus fish in the fresh water section. Some go from strength to strength but we went from tank to tank; starting off with a small goldfish tank and ending up trying to find space for furniture to be moved to. The fish tank coffee table was one of the solutions.

Steven became increasingly intrigued by Clownfish and we drifted to the dark side (marine) in 2009 after purchasing a second-hand 4 foot tank at the Koi shop across the road from Airport Pets. We started off very slowly to let the tank cycle for some months with live rock. One piece of live rock even brought with it an unexpected guest, which we figured out after realizing that rocks shouldn’t pinch you. A Teddy bear crab decided to be the hitchhiker in our tanks galaxy, subtly named Julius. Later on we added some hermit crabs, cleaner shrimp and a couple small clowns after moving Julius to his own tank. Steven made the tank cabinet himself; he has also DIYed many other things including the LED light unit as seen in the following link:

Most of our non-fish-keeping friends think it’s a bit odd that we don’t eat fish and more than likely assume we’re drug dealers with the test tubes and syringes lying all over the house, so we are very excited to be able to share all news and read others stories on MASA. We’ve learnt so much from the MASA forum and made many new friends at the Aquarium Expo 2012 as well as at the get-together's every couple of months. It’s a community we’re proud to be involved with and we will definitely continue to participate in all aspects of the forum for years to come.

So much better when both are involved.
    Yeah.

But just a question. Who decides on what is the next livestock option?

It is great to be apart of This Community.

A difficult one, but the game Rock, paper, scissors, lizard, Spock comes to mine.
