Right let's give it a go

This is my take at a reeftank , so far anyway as this baby grows by the month (usely at the end).

Tank
2400l x 660w x 700h
It holds about 1000l
overflow to the left hidden in a fake wall with some powerheads
4x powerheads in left side pannel turning about 6800L/H
2 x poweheads hidden to the right under the LR turning about 6000L/H will add more in future
3x return pipes from my sump and my chiller adding some more water movement

Sump
1500l x 440w x 500h
holds about 400L
150mm DSB with a plenuim and refrugium with a kent phosban reactor
2x return pumps turning about 7000L/H back to the tank

Other
1x heilia(spelling wrong but i aint going to the garage in this cold to check)
1x return pump from my chiller turning about 6000L/H to my sump i suspect with head loss it's about 3000L/H
1x RS2 reefteck skimmer plumbed from my overflow into my sump
1x Delteck P600 calsium reactor

Lights

6x white(?) 54w t5 with reflectors
2x Blue(?) 54w t5 with reflectors
2x 150w 10 000k ventue's
2x 150w 20 000k venture's

Thats about it i know there is some room for improvement but this tank limmits what can be done. Yes if i knew then what i know now i would do it diffrent, but with time i will get that tank in the wall i always wanted. As for now with you guys helping me i will do what i can

Awesome setup you have there, very nice and neat sump area :thumbup:
 
Very nice Reefbum, really like the sump area. How long has the system been running?
 
It's been going for about 9 months now, i had a nightmare with hair algea for about 4 months of the time, nearly gave it all up, but bit the bullet and got it sorted now all i wat is SPS, but i can't find good frags for the life of me pls feel free to help i'm in JHB.

Geez bro..you go for broke from day one...I feel like i know you.. you like horses and casinos.. and you win all the time... Thats a winner in anyone's books. Nice

Hi Reef Bum, very very nice and neat sump. Question, where dis you buy all the plumbing/pipes/connectors/fittings etc to be used in the sump area? I'm also in JHB.
 
Gerrit i got most of it at a place in PTA called JB stamp, if you get stuck finding the number PM me and i will send to you

Shots of the corals will follow, not tonight though the lights was of in the tank and all the corals are closed. Sorry some of the pics are dodgey, still learning.
