If you live in America and you do not know what ReefAPalooza is by now, we do not know what you have been doing with your reefing life. This time of year like so many before it, the Southern California Marine Aquarium Society hosts the most-attended marine aquarium event in the world with almost as many booths as the MACNA conference. At Reef-A-Palloza you can see a cornucopia of new products, speaker presentations, a farmers’ market of wild and home-grown corals and all the best industry peeps from all over the country and Southern California.

Speaking of industry peeps, this year SCMAS is looking to attract more people than ever before with free Sunday entry for anyone that qualifies as a member of a reef club or employee at a local fish store – any club and any LFS! There are a couple things you need to bring to validate your reef club or LFS standing so check out the criteria after the break but if you can’t make it, you know Reef Builders will have the complete live blog of the event this weekend.*

On Sunday, October 21, 2012, Reef-A-Palooza will be observing National Marine Aquarium Club and Local Fish Store Appreciation Day.**To celebrate, the Southern California Marine Aquarium Society will be admitting all reef club members in to Reef-A-Palooza for free on that day.**For free admission, reef club members must have a current and valid club ID card to take advantage of this offer.* Unfortunately, there can be no exceptions to this rule.

In addition, on Sunday, October 21, 2012, The Southern California Marine Aquarium Society will also admit Local Fish Store owners to Reef-A-Palooza free of charge as well.**With this invitation, LFS owners are encouraged to attend where they can browse newly introduced products as well as strike up partnerships with the exhibiting manufacturers.**For free admission, Local Fish Store owners must provide and copy of their business license and also matching identification to take advantage of this offer.**Once again, there can be no exceptions to this rule.
