Reef Salt Hard

hi guys a buddy of mine has given me his Tetra marine salt and it is 1 year an a few months old. .THE salt is hard can I use it. any 1 crushed it and used it.

I wouldn't, probably means it has drawn in moisture from the atmosphere. when it happened to me i got very turbulent results in chemical balance

I would but only of you mixed the entire block. I remember the old aquamedic salt tjat came in the box would sometimes be hard when you opened it. I used that for ages without issues.

the salt is not supper hard but jus not loose

Yeah it's almost lumpy, big clumps of salt. as i said it's drawn moisture out of the atmosphere.
