    Hey guys, so taking delivery of my skimmer tomorw hopefully, any guys/gals who has experience with this skimmer (good or bad).... Please fill me in as I couldn find any real reviews... All replies would be appreciated:whistling:

    I love that skimmer, how much do they go for? Im sure those cones with that pump strapped on going to skim like mad.

    Well I'm hoping so...... Its twice my system volume so it should skim the shit outa my system literally lol.... Duz it make water quality better tho?

    It will help to keep water clear yes, as it removes dissolved organics. it will also help you to feed more often without problems..

    Got the Cone BB 3000INT - a bit noisy for my taste, but doing a good job. Please comment on the noise levels once you have installed yours.

    ensure that the outlet is not submerged or it will oveflow and make sure that the chamber that it is in has a stable water level. it is a monster os a skimmer enjoy it.

    @ziyaadb - my outlet is JUST below the surface - if I put it higher, I do not get any skimmate. Is this ok?

    thats a junk skimmer boet,think you need to upgrade send that thing my way i'll take it of your hands for you :biggrin: use the jebo you had rather it will rock in that tank:lol:

    @ChrisNell ur skimate is determined by the amount of doc's in ur tank as well as the level u set ur skimmer ie u will get wet skimate or dry skimate depending on the level of water in the skimmer. u have a bigggg skimmer on ur tank so u would need a big bioload to get lots of skimate or feed ur fish very heavy.

    Awesome stuff! Please let us know how it works!

    I've never like the cone skimmer due to the loss of volume within the chamber, so it will be interesting to see how it does!

    @lIghty..... Well 2 be honest, sumthin bout the cone is sooooo much better than the cylendrical skimmer else it wouldn cost sooo much more , an u mistaken bout size coz shape is diferent but inner volume is same

    Oh an exact 1 in cylinder is rated 2000 litres , but cone is 2400litres an same pump an everythin, that's wat made me choose this 1 over cylinder
