    Hi

I'm looking to expand the reef angel to auto top up another tank or two.. I have float switches but I am assuming I will need the expansion hub.

    Please advise and price..

    Thanks :)

Thank I have received it just wanting to make sure I don't have one lying around but I think it's the dimming module.

Do you mind also sending through pricing for Salinity module and the probe as well as an expansion module.

    Thanks

I made a point of it to make sure I actually know how to program a RA before receiving the new stuff from you and it's not that bad!

The stuff can come now thanks!

Other than getting lost on the reef angel site and forum, where can one find out about the reef angel.
I have been contemplating going the controller route, but info on MASA is scarce.
can you perhaps start a thread explaining this controller and what it can do for me.

You shouldn't look at the RA site as you will cry at the make up sold here.
I used the standard features on my tropical. Ph probe to control CO2 injection. Temp for heaters. Set heater like 1 deg higher than RA setting just in case you nock out temp probe or it fails. Tank won't overheat . 15 min feeding time. On off times and delays for equipment. Auto top up switch to control valves. Has wizard for basic setup.

Believe me you wont be sorry as the possibilities are endless with them. We are talking about a controller that is able to turn lights, pumps, heaters, reactors etc on and off at cetrain times or conditions. I found the controller section on the forum at https://www.marineaquariumsa.com/forums/test-kits-controllers-reactors-and-dosers.26/ so what I will do is have a look what all is available there so long that may explain it to you as I'll need to plan to sit still In order to write such a thread :).

The reef angel is totally worth it. Been running mine for more than a year now, saved my tank more than once! I'm monitoring temps, ph, power failure, etc. I'm controlling my lights (dimming) and even got moonlights set up to ramp up and down according the the moon cycle. It is totally customizable to do almost anything. I can connect via the internet and switch anything connected to it on and off remotely via the internet. Their support on the forum is great there is always someone willing to give advice and help you with the programming. It can be expensive to get in to but considering the value of our investments in this hobby it is a great way to protect it.

Thanks for the replies, dont want to derail the thread, but I think some more info woukd drive sales...
I run my system pretty ok without it, but have reached a point where it is a nice to have...
Essentially, what i need (rather want) it for is to:
Monitor pH and seitch off a potentially stuck ato dosing kalk if pH spikes,
    monitor salinity,
alert me if ato doesnt work and water level in sump gets too low and warns me via mail or sms
Warns me in event of power failure or if my return pump stops working... a too high water level in sump float switch warning should work for this. And yes monitor and warn me on temp highs and lows.
Flow pumps and lights i am more than happy to run with their own controllers and lights.
What will i need to do the above?

You can do everything with the "out of box" set except for monitoring power failures. You will need a extra relay expansion for power failures, and a ups for the RA itself. You connect the additional relay to normal power and the moment power goes off it will send you a notification. Else connect a relay that 'disconnects' to trigger the RA. I used to dose kalk and set it up to control it by monitoring the ph, worked quite well. I now got a calc reactor and it controls the ph for that now, works perfectly

Also run a carx and wanted to initially run the carx off it and run the tank pH control off it but was told i would have to buy expansion blah blah, so lost interest.
But happy to run my carx on its own pH controller and just have tank pH monitored and run off a computer.

Sounds complicated, well to me me at least, but will probably be able to figure it out, or phone a friend.
