My tl450 had the same problem and a smack on the hood fixed that.

Fans normally get noisy when dirty or out of balance.

Might be that when you are tightening them you are pulling the fan frame scew. Loosen all the screws and tighten them slightly one by one until it starts making a noise again, then you will know which one is the culprit.

Those smacks on the Tl450 does work however.

Then you might just have unbalanced fans and there is little to nothing you can do to them.

If this about a light fitting, my leds came with extremely high volume fans as well, so I took the fitting apart, changed it a little and just changed them over to quieter fans that I got on line.
Much quieter, well actually they are silent now!
Even gluing the fans in place with araldite if the fitting does not allow for changes is better then nothing.

Ok this is what i did with my 130 i had. There was only two fans if i remember correctly. I have taken them out and took them to RS Components in Boksburg. Got replacement fans and added another two fans. This solved my problem with noisy fans and also helped with the heat produced from the lights. I did not need to cut anything from the hood just needed to fit them into the slots. You will see that there is an extra set of wires for an additional fan, i just took that wire and split it into two and connected them in parralel. Problem solved

Take your old fan with you and go to RS Components. They aren't that expensive and you could ask for the super quite fans (price a little more than standard fans)

    Thanks Zandy

I got 2 new fans from Rs today

Much better, stil has a noise but much better

and yes there is a 3rd slot but the new fans are rated better airflow and lower noise than the original max so i think two will be good enough for now and they fit perfectly as well

    thanks
