Any of you guys use the Red Sea Marine Lab test kit?

I got one, and testing my parameters for the last three weeks (since doing aqua scaping) I have been struggling with my ammonia at between 0 and 0.25, say 0.12, this evening I thought that the ammonia should have broken down long time ago, so I got NSW that I collected today to carry on with the skimmer trials, and when I tested the NSW it was also between 0 and 0.25.

Imo obviously a useless test kit, but have any of you guys also got a one of these test kits? I was thinking if I maybe double or triple all the quantities of each for further accuracy.

I think the nitrites was fine, which surely if there was ammonia, the nitrites would follow surely, which was not the case.

magman i started out with them, not accurate at all IMHO when compared to elos or salifert. I now stick to either elos or salifert

magman, just ask the LFS who stocks it to send it via postnet, I shipped some additives to a client for R 45 if I remember correctly (if package is less than 2 kg's)....better spend 45 bucks now , than lose a R 500 coral / fish :p

That water was for the skimmer trials, if you don't believe me, come check the skimmer in action, you can bring your skimmers also for a shoot out!!!!!!

Check the tube of the kids, it's behind that sign and looks like a sail boat

Caught you red handed dude- only thing is, I should have stopped with the Whiskey I was busy with- then the wife would have been much nicer with me today- alas, we only got home in the wee hours, so I am hiding from the sun today.

Btw, went down to the diving spot. South Easter is pumping big time, although the water is clear, I doubt I will go diving today- not keen to get smacked against the rocks- head is still soar:peroni:
