Looks like a sore or parasite bite. Is the wound on the body or base of the pictorial fin?

If it is a wound, you could dab I bit of Mercurochrome on it to stop secondary bacterial infection.

Some people don't like to use Mercurochrome and use gentian violet instead. Both work. You just catch the fish and apply with an ear bud.

I normally catch the fish and put it on a neatly folded paper towl. Make sure the paper towel has no printing on it. Use the plain white one. When handling the fish use surgical gloves so that you don't cause further damage. The fish is literally out of the water for less than a minute if you prepair properly.

It is either treat to prevent secondary infection or let it be and not stress the fish. A call you will have to decide. If is was my fish I would do the treatment because the chances of secondary infection are high.
