Recycling dead Coral

Hi all

Just a quick one. Who of you use dead coral as CaRX media?

I recently noted a major spike in po4 and when I switched off the carx it seemed to drop. It may be coincidence but it is the only thing different I am doing?

I use old coral in my carx, never had an issue

I have been looking on the net and the feeling is mixed. It depends where the corals came from and also what the water quality was like. My dead coral grew in conditions with relatively high po4 so I suspect that may be the cause.

Will experiment more.
