    Hi guys,

I was wondering if you could help. My orchid dottyback fin looks torn up, and its got some white marks on her back. I am not sure if its itch or fin rot or the clown nipped at her or if its something else. she is eating really well still and seems happy. My other livestock are really happy I have 2 other clowns and a couple shrimp. I have just tested all my params and all seems in order.

    temp 26
    Salinity 1.025
    PH 8.4
    Kh 10 dkh
    Ammonia 0
    nitrite 0
    nitrate 10 ppm
    phosphate 0 ppm or undetectable
    Calcium 400 ppm

I am battling a little bit of cyno at the moment but I am not sure if that will have anything to do with it? the tank is 3 and half months old. its a boyu TL550, with a tunze 9004 doc skimmer. Filter material is filter wool, sponge live rock, purigen, phosguard and matrix.

I tried to get a pic of her but i battled I will try some more and see if I get a better pic.

If she is eating and show no signs of being sick..I would just leave her. Many times she will come right. Ss long as she ests snd there are no obvious ulcer looking growth. It could very well be that while she sleep thst perhaps a shrimp is trying to clean her and damaged her fin. I would not be too worried.
