Finally got my tank setup today. My son is addicted with nemo and I always wanted a marine tank. Sorry if it's not considered medium

Tank size
100 x 47 x 35 Height

Sump
62 x 33 x 33

I wanted a shallow tank. I just like the look.

Hardware
BM Curve 5 skimmer
BM rock 2000 pump
STC Controller
300 watt heater
Sun sun quad 39w T5s
16 x 3 watt blue LEDs for moonlight. Jeboa WP10 x 2 with dual controller
Aquaria RO with DI
TDS meter
ATC refractormeter

I have 5 kgs of base rock. I bought 10 kgs of live rock. Will use some in DT and some in sump. 18kg Carribsea live sand. I used the blue treasure sps salt. Didn't have any major hassles. Tank is pretty clear after an hour or so. Salinty is 1.022

Not sure about live stock, I want a reef tank. Won't over stock just was a neat looking healthy and stable tank to admire. Thanks for looking.

Some Thanks to
@Juan27
@lesliehempel
@SharkQ

And all those who have assisted with advice and inspiration, that's probably everyone here

Thanks for looking.

This is on moonlight. Will post pics with T5S later.

Nice start. Keep the pics coming. :)

Are you going to increase that?
Yes. Problem is I'm using a hydrometer for now. The salinity in the sump is 1.026 according to the hydrometer. I'm fetching my refractormeter later, will test again and then ask it accordingly.

I'm sure your salinity is on the 1.025 mark bud, as we use the same salt, and the same amount of grams per liter of it.

So got my live rock yesterday. Got some snails and stars, saw some really tiny shrimp like looking critters running around on them.

Also got my refractormeter so i could test salinity. It's at 1.025 @viper357
Thanks @Juan27 for the chaeto.

The starfish has been on my wavemaker since it's arrived. Moves around it but never off it.

Haven't seen the snail since he was put in.
