We upgraded our H2O facility at Jungle Aquatics Broadacres with an industrial R.O. unit, we strive to provide you with the best water in town, including premixed saltwater. Please vote and tell us which brand of salt you'd prefer we use in our premixed saltwater batch for mixing!

If the price is the same no matter which salt you will be using then I would say 1: Salinity, 2: Red sea and then ether.

Salinity is much more constant and that will make your customers very happy.

In my humble opinion Salinity is the best for your customers. the reason I say this is that its the most consitant salt at the closest to NSW you can get. If you run Red Sea Coral Pro you get elevated levels of dkh and calcium etc, the others you get different results every mix. The only one I can't comment on is Brightwell.

    s a l i n i t y :mbounce: red sea coral pro
we can always mix 50% salinity and 50% red sea coral pro and see what happens...lol just kidding...
we will be starting off this weekends water with salinity...and for those that like the elevated kh,ca and mg readings from red sea coral pro we will give the option to boost the salinity salt water mix with higher kh, ca and mg values at no extra cost!!

Agreed, come on vote everyone  ... we honestly don't mind if you do not get your water directly from us...you are more than welcome to cast your vote still, we just want an overall count to see what the preferred brand from the above mentioned will be...and strongest competition for it...lol :)

Well, you do not list all the brands available. This will result in a very skewed result.

I prefer Aqua Medic reef salt. For its price, its the best salt available. Thats my opinion.

RiaanP I think you misread the question. Its a poll for premixed water for his shop and the list is the different brands he sell

Out of interest how much is the 450 liter box of salinity and how much are you selling the premixed water at per a liter?

    Thanks

    OK, understand.
Its nice to see that good quality salt will be used in the pre-mixed. shops normally use the cheapest salt they can get for their pre-mix. But obvious using the most expensive salt will have an impact either on profit or selling price. After all, if reefers can buy mixed water for R2 a litre at one shop and R3 at another, the cheaper shop will get the business. Forgetting to see why the water is more expensive.

Not sure what the price is for the salts mentioned in the poll, would be nice to know what they go for per kg.

It comes down to a trade off between price and quality. Trick is to get the salt that fits both criteria.

I agree 100% RiaanP. People should always ask what salt is being used.

Know what you paying for and you probably wont have regrets later
