Sheesh... I didn't think my OR was *that* quiet... I completely agree they are very good quality pumps but I don't think they will be *THE* quietest... (especially as there's always challengers out there)

How much money is silence worth?

    Jason,

These are quietest according to experience AND general consensus

Tunze, Eheim, Sicce, ATI, Ocean Runner, Eden, laguna, hydor

SOME Tunze return pumps are made by Eden OTHERS by Sicce, only superficial differences...IDENTICAL PUMP!!!

    ATI are made by Sicce

Ocean Runner mnfr by Hailea, but different standards.

    laguna made by askoll

    PRICEWISE

.....ATI/Sicce and Eden will COST YOU LESS than Tunze equivalent

    Also cheaper than Ocean Runner.

State your flow rate , head required AND BUDGET.

Then, we can all help you decide within those factors.

BTW, most of the above units emit much less noise than my PC tower...or i have a REALLY loud tower !!??
