    Hi Marco,
I've got one of your units was the exact one you had at the JHB IMACSA couple years ago...u sold it to Anthony (Punk) which I bought from him, has the TDS meter built in.

Anyways, just wanted to know as it has two clear cylinders one for what looks like aragonite media and the other is those blue/brown gell media. What is the purpose of these two media?

The TDS measurement displays the RO water before it enters these chambers, noticeably there is a higher TD reading after the water passes through these chambers...what are the added effects/benefits to your RO water?

i belive the gel media is Deionising media (ensuring zero tds)

i stand to be corrected but the argonite stuff it so add ca or alk (remineralisation)

the tiny blue beads are indicator (colour changing ) resin that drop the .d.s of the water to 0........after this stage the ph is low enough to dissolve Tunze calium carbonate media, which is what is in the next chamber....this will raise the ph slightly add increase the t.d.s level but all that is in the water now is dissolved calium carbonate...so effectivly you are buffering the water

    thanks.

So to sum this up....I don't have to worry about the units TDS reading measurement saying (as an example) 0.02, then if I measure the effluent it reads (as an example) say 0.09 ?
