Im planning on going o get a yellow tang later today, but i am worried about the quarantine tank size etc.. anyone have any experience with quarantining this species of tang?

QT is a 2 foot and is about 50 liters.. it has been running for several months and all parameters are fine besides for nitrates which are somewhere between 10ppm and 25 pm. What are the chances of successfully qurantining it for 3 weeks in this tank?

I was also thinking about adding it straight to the DT.. i have a UV sterilizer, but im a bit hesitant on this option.

    hi

kudos to actually wanting to QT, yes that should be fine, add some large plumbing elbos for hiding places, have dull light and keep fed to boost his system etc, provide nori etc.
also look at using blue life safety stop
