I was wondering. Would I be able to use Conduit PVC Pipe(The white pipes used for electric cables) to run water through into my marine tank?

I want to use normal tubing from the sump to just outside the tank for my inlet. Then take it over the back panel, run it down the back corner.

Then I want to connect it to white conduit pipe running through under my gravel underneath some rock formations, upwards just below the top where the water will come out.

Can I use the conduit? It's not going to be under pressure and it's non toxic.

it should be fine as long as you can make the bends waterproof.

I used the white pvc pipes with the gray fittings - no prob. Works the same as the blue pvc pipe.

I've got loads of the white PVC piping on my setup and frag tanks, no issues whatsoever.

Also used it to no ill effects...not enough pressure on our systems to warrant HP piping IMHO..just looks cooler :p

Perfect timing for this question - I am gluing the plumbing for my new 3ft together tomorrow and on my desk right now there is a length of white PVC conduit pipe, grey connectors, and Alcolin PVC weld. :) Thanks for the answers and for the question!

Ill believe that when i see it :p

Just a note: when i used the 20mm white conduit, it didnt form as tight a fin in the grey pvc connectors as the blue pvc pipe so more glue is needed. A freshwater test is also advised.

Thanks Dave :) I've tested the fit and its very snug - I'm using 50mm (had some lying around, overkill I know! And as for believing. Take a look at my tank thread in about 10minutes! ;-)
