Hi so got a pump that was said to be in the sump to blow the debris from the LR once a week.

So is it necessary to put a pump in the sump for that reason and is it any good blowing the debris all around or need I clean the sump weekly.

Where is the liverock you want to clean? Sump or Display?

I've put a small pump with a diy spray bar in my sump,in the LR chamber to help circulate the water in that chamber to eliminate dead spots in around rock.
Not sure if it's right or wrong. Only did it a week ago.
But my reading saids it's not a bad idea.
Not hectic flow.

There shouldnt be that much detritus settling in the sump that it needs to e cleaned once a week?
But theres no harm in having a pump in here if you want. Usually detritus will settle in a few spots in the sump making it easy to syphon out.

My LR is in the same chamber as my skimmer. No detritus in my sump

Been running mine like that since day one, no issues.

Who said no LR with skimmer ?

It would be easier to clean around the skimmer if there is no liverock or other obstacles except a filter sock. No reason as to why not have a bigger chamber and have rock in there. Personally, I would prefer 2 dedicated chambers.
