Can anyone point me in the right direction?

What is type of pump and accessories is needed?
Collecting over 800l by hand is not very practical.

Anyone in PE got a pump?
I have access to a 1000l drum and the sea.

You could hire petrol driven pump for one of the small plant hire companies?

we use an inverter which plugs into your cigerette lighter and then a pump plugs into it.. usually a 400-500w inverter is suffiecient..

we then use a pump such as a boyu pond pump rated to 10000lt and pump into a 1000lt drum situated on the back of a bakkie

    500w inverter on special R500
    pump +- R600
    Beers unlimited...

30 min or so we are full and on our way home to do the change..

a petrol driven pump will cost you aprox R2500 and then another R500 for couplers and hosing.. it is more versatile though but pricey..

its actually very easy, any low wattage pump with a good head height will do its getting close enough to the water to pump thats the problem. just be sure to run the pump you use in FW prior to storage ready for next time..
