Hey MASA
I'm wanting to buy a new skimmer for my tank.
I am confused as which skimmer to get , my two options are the BM curve 5 or reef octopus dnw 110.
My tank volume is 340l .

My first option is the reef octopus , my question with it being a recirculating skimmer is can it be placed in the sump or must it be external as I don't have space outside my sump to fit it.

I have 2 overflows can I connect one of the overflows into the skimmer ?

I have the BM curve 9. Its a beast. Running now for 3 weeks and it works great.

Connecting an external skimmer to the overflow can cause instability inside the skimmer. Best is to have a separate feeder pump. But there is no reason why you cant run an external skimmer internally b
