Tank has been cycling nicely thanks to invaluable help from a friend. Some local hermit crabs have been doing the ground-work since March and think they own the tank (very cute).

Live rock is flourishing with life and evolving daily (been in tank since 28 May). Noticed lots of Copepods yesterday!

Got first live stock delivery of a Brittlestar and Zoanthid coral a week ago, doing well! Pics:

Brittlestar (which turned out to be "XXXL", tank is 60cm high)!:

Zoanthid with a surprise mushroom coral :

A little fan (and a small clam!) tagged along with the Zoa:

BUT!! possible problem hitchhikers on live rock may have cropped up, think this may be Colonial Hydroids and Digitate Hydroids? Can anyone help ID?

    Colonial hydroid?:

Digitate hydroid, or what is this white stringy thingy, they jerk around a bit?

Am hoping they're not the "bad" hitchhikers!

tank is looking good so far that Zoa rock you have is just beautiful

as for the red cyno thats on the rocks try and manually remove it before it sperads over other rocks and the sand in the tank, it will spread quiet rapidly if your nutrient levels are high

I got a few pieces of live rock with those worms in them the brush against the zoas and haven't done any harms

try get rid of the cyno as soon as you can. it could be indication that you might need more flow in the tank

I have a zoa rock and clam that is completely covered in zoas. It looks like a crack between the zoas.
