    ya I think he means Purigen as prodibio is a liquid. And yes I use Purigen in a stocking and it works fine, the grains are a bit small...just dont squeeze the stocking too much else they can tend to come through it. Else there is always "The Bag" by Seachem, think it costs R150...u can get purigen in the bag though in small sizes.

    Use the pool gobbler stockings. You get five for R40 which is cheaper than the purigen bag

    Also, purigen leaks out of stockings... And then it gets messy!

    Don't want to hijack, but @Slagter, your system is less than 1000L and the Prodibio vials say 1 vial per 1000L's. SO do you just add one? Thinking about dosing biodigest

    1 is fine, cant really overdose. Excess bacteria will die off if there is not enough food available

    @Tremayn

    No, no, no, no...

    That's on the prodibio PRO range! For the normal dosing with the standard range, it's 1 vial for every 200L. I add 2 vials every second week. My tank is between 400 and 500 liters.

    They make the normal range, the pro range for huge tanks and they make a nano range... Make sure you get the normal range of their products, otherwise it's just a waste. Unless your system is pretty close to 1000L.

    I must say, it really works. Since starting with it, I am noticing the algae dying away. The cualerpa, which was taking over my sump, has died away completely... Seriously.
