    Hi Guys

    I am new here:m01:

I have a problem with my tank and not sure what to do.

I had a 350 liter tank but due to space I had to get a Boyu TL550 tank:(

I gave all my fish to my father except my two clowns. They were about 5 cm big.

so I had those two clown, one hermit crab, one sand goby and two turbo snails in the TL550.

I went away for the weekend and fed them on Friday and Fed them on Sunday when I got back but when I got back there was like a tipe of slime on them but it looked more like a cyano tipe of slime.

They died that night and I tested the water levels and everything was correct.

I thought they died of stress since the light stayed on the whole weekend so I got 4 new clowns that was about 2cm and they got white spot and died aswell but the goby, crab and snails are fine????

I don't know what it could be if someone can please help me

    thank you in advance

Are you sure it was white spot? Don't think white spot will kill the fish in a couple of hours unless they were sick before you put them in?

How did you add the fish? Did you drip them before you added them?

My tank lights sometime stay on the whole weekend and I dont have problems. Not sure in a small tank if it will make difference.

Should have identified the problem before adding 4 new clowns what was your temprature
In your tank wen you got back on sunday? Perhaps the combination of the constant lighting and
Your home being closed up over heated your tank.
    Could also be velvit?

The temprature was at 28 as always and after a session with google I thought that the clowns was just stressed out

Don't think it was because of the lights.
Maybe the first clowns died of brookynella.

In my opinion the problem is not the Boyu. What did you do after the 1st clowns died? Any water changes and/or treatment? For clowns to die of whitespot ( if this is the real cause ) you have a severely infected tank and some drastic measures should be taken to eradicate this before any other fish are introduced.

As an aside, does your 550 have UV and are you using it?
