    Hi guys

I was just wondering, when you premix saltwater and store it in a bucket for future use, is it sufficient to have an airstone and a heater running in the bucket? and can the bucket be closed or does it have to be open?

    Thanks

Providing the mix was made with high quality purified water it's fine as long as you don't leave it in there for more then 2 months as it will become biologically aftive. Wich is why i would not put any air or movement in there. However, i would give it some air about 1 day before you use it.

Doing that and you'll probably start a mini cycle, transferring bacteria can occur by just dunking your hand in one tank and then in the storage water.

I'd close the lid and not worry about temp or oxygen.
