I bought a powerhead, but it is way to strong for my tank. What are ways to get it to give less of a flow? Please help. Thank you

What power head did you get?

You can try pointing it up or try bouncing the flow off the glass of the tank

Can you post a pic of it? Google isn't helpful.

What I would do is to silicone a plastic milk bottle cap right in the center of the outlet, so the flow goes around the outside only. That should still give you plenty flow and nice and diffused as well.

Alternatively, block up each alternating inlet slit on the housing with silicone.

You want that flow though - you just need to diffuse it somehow. What's the dimensions of the outlet? If it's 50mm you should be able to get a 50mm PVC Y-splitter at your local plumbing supply shop. That will split the flow in two while still getting the full amount of circulation.
