Depends on how much livestock/fish you have in the tank, a battery powered air pump would be a great help. Otherwise try to stir the surface of the water now and again to get some water movement and some gaseous exchange going.

If temp becomes a problem hang warm 2l bottles in tank and provide it with some means for ridding it of steam like a hole in lid.

I am not sure about o2 as I use a battery pump as soon as power drops.

8 fish, needs more water movement more often
4 hours not going to be OK

Oxygen is more important than heat. Winter is over. OK, not sure about Cape Town weather today. But the tank will run out of oxygen quicker than loosing heat.

Do you got battery operated airpumps?

Else its manual. Going to be a long night.

I would stir at least once an hour, I have been accused of using our battery operated "wisker" to give it a power boost every now and again.

There is also the hydrogen peroxide trick, but someone else will have to give you the volume calculation.
