Power heads 12v

    thinking ofbringing in some 12v power heads, they run of a car battery, and could be used during power outages, so far the range i could get is from about 500gph to 1250gph, if any one is interested let me know still waiting on reading material and prices but will keepthose who are interested informed.

    Hi Tridan are they made from marine ie salt.
    I use a 12v for auto top off, that you get from caravan shop, works very well.

    Thalion yes they are made for salt water, but as i said still waiting on info.

    Well ever had the feeling of getting ripped off, well i just saved name and money the so called 12v power head is a standard bilge pump used for a live well on a boat.
    not to say much but some ppl are nasty and just out to make a buck, for all who are interested in a battery powered pump just go to your local boat shop and ask for a bilge pump for a live well.

    I did today and to my surprise well out comes exactly what i want at a quarter of the price, and the exact same make.

    Hi Tridan, just be careful as some bilge pumps rust, and they use gulvinised metal in them, well the one I opened the other day looks like galvinised metal, but it too had some corrosion on it.
