    Hi guys,

please share your words of wisdom with me, i went to my lfs this afternoon and saw that she had brought in some decent fish, one being the powder Blue tang, it looked really healthy and had no traces of white spot at all, but its hard to tell with these PB anyways.

tank is 560lt and been up for just over a month now,all parameters are stable ( dosing Prodibio) . Inmates are chromis, scopa's tang, maroon clown, flame back angel.

if i decide to buy the PB tang am i just asking for trouble or is it better to add it while my tank is still young ? i plan on adding either a yellow tang or regal tang after the PB....

will the size of my tank be ok to house the PB ? 1.5x6x6 +-565lt
oh i fogot to mention the Pb is about 6-8 cm big

    Thanks

Pb, are definately difficutlt, but not impossable. Firstly, Quarenteen is almost a must. Forget about adding tangs after the pb. Also, they fight as they get bigger, so a large tank is needed if keeping them with multiple tangs. Just from experience.

Junz, firstly your tank is still very new. I would hold back a bit - 3-4 months before considering adding any tangs to the tank.

Besides being white spot magnets PB's are also one of the most aggresive fish around, and should be the last fish you add to your system after completing the rest of your wish list.

It is an awesome fish though, and my personal favourite.

4 fish in a tank "just over 1 month old" ..... eish

IME i would suggest a waiting period of at least a month before adding anything .... i know waiting is difficult..... but it is essential!

PB will be ok in that size tank now, when hes 20cm big you will have to upgrade. They are very nice fish. On sat I have 8 friends over 6 chose the PB as there fav fish. I dont like him cause hes so aggressive to new fish. once hes in the tank every new inmate is at risk

I actually found PB tangs quiet easy to keep and never had a problem adding one to my tank. Feed him well after adding him and you wont have too many problems. They are very aggresive and like the guys said, add it last.
