I have used Para Guard from Seachem before for ich but it says its good for bacterial infections too.
    ParaGuard
    Product Description
ParaGuard™ is the only fish and filter safe aldehyde based (10% by weight) parasite control product available. Unlike highly toxic and difficult to use formalin based medications, ParaGuard™ contains no formaldehyde or methanol and will not alter pH. ParaGuard™ employs a proprietary, synergistic blend of aldehydes, malachite green, and fish protective polymers that effectively and efficiently eradicates many ectoparasites on fish (e.g. ich, etc.) and external fungal/bacterial/viral lesions (e.g., fin rot). It is particularly useful in hospital and receiving tanks for new fish and whenever new fish are introduced to a community tank. For use in freshwater or marine.

    Sizes: 100 mL, 250 mL, 500 mL, 2 L, 4 L, 20 L

    Types of Infection Treated

    Parasitic
    Fungal
    Bacterial
    Viral
    ParaGuard

    Directions
In the aquarium, use 5 mL (1 capful) to every 40 L (10 gallons*). Repeat daily as required as long as fish show no stress. For 1 hour dips, use 3 mL per 4 L (1 gallon*). Dips may be extended if fish show no evidence of stress.

In case of eye exposure, promptly & thoroughly wash eyes with water & seek medical attention.

    firstly is he eating?

if so id suggest lacing his food with a vitamin and feeding frequently.. if he can be caught id even go as far as to place him in isolation (i find the overflow box works well) and switch the pumps off dose a vitamin and allow him to swim in a high strength solution of it for approx 5 minutes.. before switing the pumps on pace some sort of shelter in the overfloew (assuming its a high flow area) keep ihim in there and repeat a few times.

its what i do for my fish if i can catch them alternativley i treat them in the tank with vitimins only..

Leslie his fish isn't eating prepared foods, and I believe he has been dosing with vitimins as per my instructions to try and battle the white spot the Potters already has.

Quarenteen it. Then add an external medication, like copper or Myxizin to the Quarenteen tank. Twice a day, put the fish in a bucket of aquarium water for 20 min. Take 2 tablets of flagyl and cyclodox, from pharmacy, and dissolve in 20ml water. Add this to the bucket with airpump. Throw the water away when u done. Repeat 2 daily until symptoms resolve, or, u know... Let me know how it goes?
