    Greetings All

    Please post a picture of your sump with a short description.

    I'm curious to see what's in everyones sump/layouts.
    So I can get some tips.

    Thanks :m106:

    Dont try this at home... All set up and stocked from prev tank in one day.... Pretty much looks like it, lol.
    Pretty messy and wouldn't recommend anyone that doesnt know exactly whats going on there to even get close to it.... Do not try this at home ;):
    First chamber, filter sock skimmer, second "chamber" bubble baffle with heater (would not have put this in if i built sump) next calcium reactor feed pump and biocubes in hang on with airline inside and cheapo "chiller" doing its thing from above, last chamber return and carx return and phos media. Easy and simple! Except for the chaotic wires.... One day when i feel like it....

    But you will get the idea.

    Skimmer ATI Powercone
    Up flow "baffle". 9cm wide filled with Seachem Matrix.
    "Main" DSB. Split in the middle. That divider was there before I modified the sump. I just left it there. Like a upright euro brace.
    Return pump.

    Also got a remote DSB. Return pump splits into 2, one line directly up to display, the other go to the fishroom.

    Straight forward. Skimmer, frag tank/refugium, return pump with a diy media rack filled with batting.

    Love the washing pegs Viper!!, Next to cable ties and connector blocks, probably the most used sundries in my system ;)

    @irie ivan Thank you,
    I got biocubes the weekend, due to cyanobacteria coming back.
    Are biocubes a good enough treatment?
    or would you recommend something else?

    i checked out your tank tread and also gained alot there :)
    Will be adding a deep sand bed like yours
    And keeping my 10W led on more than the 3w for the chaeto, as i can see you using the 10W

    @dallasg
    Very neat & simply - i just invested in one of those 'hang on' socks instead of an actual sock lol,
    i am going to change though as its a stinky mission to clean.
    RiaanP mention hes using stockings a while back - going his root so i can simply discard the stocking and fit fresh.

    @devesh.r thanks,
    i turned my pc screen around for that one :)
    Great tip with how to elevate your equipment in your sump
    Forgive my stupidity,
    i have a auto top up section like users, i got all the odds and sods to get it up and working,
    how would one now make it automatically fill the auto top up, same procedure?
    Using a water drum or something
