Hi all, I had white spot which is luckily gone now, but my one tang has a a huge pop eye and gets bigger, can I leave it to sort it out as I do not want to dose again or must I use Meds for the one fish only.

    HI @Nic1

My SailfinTang had PopEye 2 months back. Just leave it be! My Tangs PopEye kept
growing up until Day 7. Then started going down by itself!

    Good Luck

Pop eye in one eye may be as a result of water quality or external injury and will clear within two weeks following a partial water change. If it persists, use chloramphenicol.

Almost!! I Tend to believe Pop Eye in one eye may be a result of an injury of some sort! Its Air that gets traped behind the eye.

With the case of poor water qaulity I believe that it will efect both eyes.

With my case my water parameters was all good. so think my Tang got hurt in some way as only one eye POPED!!

But Ja!!! @Nic1 Just hang in there....... I know its not a good feeling looking at your fish and seing him in that state!!

One can not say for definite whether or not it will effect both eye's as it may perhaps depend on each individual eyes' susceptibility to a pop eye symptom caused from poor water quality.

I had a snake with a pop eye and it too went away by itself.
