I don't think so, salt water is rather corrosive, if in doubt, don't risk it, see if you can check with the maker before you end up with a soggy carpet.

they are ok, but the problem lies in the ridges, its a super rubbish collector...
if u wanting flexible hose stick to the clear pvc type from builders, they have from 5mm to 50mm

yes, they are pretty flexible, and there are elbow joints etc that can be used with them.

the pool hoses are more hastle then u need, i used them and they were problematic and hard to keep connected

I dont think the water will damage the pool hose much....it normally stands in water fulla chemicals and all day in the sun....so a lil salt water shudnt be a match.

And the hose I bought doesnt have ribs on the inside....but ill use it for now till I can get to a builders wharehouse this weekend.

    Fanx guys....great support base. :yeahdude:

Pool hoses got 2 problems. First hand experience as I currently have 1 pipe between my overflow and scrubber on my Playstation setup.

First on the connection end, yes it does fit in snugly into your 50mm adapters. I do it. But the name / make of the pipe is on that piece, standing slightly out. Enough not to give a watertight seal. Must silicone it to prevent small water leaks or salt creep.

Secondly, because it is ribbed it DOES NOT collect debris in there. But it makes a noise. Can hear the water running down the pipe like over small rockwork. My tank is in my Lapa, so no problem. But in a house it will be disturbing. Not loud, but always there.

Over ur playstation set up? Risking ur gaming pleasure a lil there arnt u?

The noise isnt an issue...I love it and my girl loves it even more. Lulls her to sleep at nite. She will prob ask me to make it louder if I can.

And when i seal sumthing to do with water...I go overboard.

Hey, can't we have the number as well. Or a contact point.
Doubt if this will be against the rules as the sponsers do not provide pipes...

Else, include me in the PM

Depends if it is clear hose or not.
Would be nice to see what is going on inside :)

    50mm for the overflow.

My current return line is 20mm. I got clear flexible tubing with a thicker wall to prevent it from bending close from hardware shop.

But for future tank and close loop would like 30mm. But it have to be able to handle the pressure.

Will cut out a lot of elbows, thereby reducing back pressure in the pumps.
