Hey Guys,

This tank has been running since about June 2013 after I shut down my 1.5m (Just never made a thread here)

Specs:

Sump (haven't actually measured it but I believe) 900x400x450
ATO tank +/- 12L (Want to get a bigger tank for this)

Bubble Magus Curve 5 Skimmer

I used rock from my previous tank, which I bleached to kill off aptasia and nasties as my previous tank was infested with aptasia (long run I still got aptasia back, so that was futile)

When moving the tank from previous owner, the overflow pane cracked and I had to have it replaced, which sucked.

Finished my overflow plumbing and started putting equipment into position, Skimmer was from my 1.5, never actually used it - changed to a ReefOcto RO-PS1000

Put in pretty much all my equipment and started tidying up wires

Wires tidied and RO fill begun

Filled! (and salted)

Had to see it with lights on - at this stage, only had Solarmax 4 x 54W T5 and 1 Vertex unit

Rock in

Lovely clean Aragonite (Fiji Pink)

After adding substrate

Cleared up, also added a raised rock at the back to give a sense of depth

I cycled using NP pellets and Bio Digest as well as ZeoBak (similar to how the zeo guys cycle except a bit longer and using pellets instead of stones)

Cycle completed and my old livestock moved across - had them at a friend in his holding tank until then.

March 2014 - This is when my cyano battle began, I have only now managed to gain the upper hand and it looks to be slowly receding

May 2014 - Cyano got really bad, really quick

May 2014 - Got my 2nd Vertex unit and picked up some frags from Adee

End of May 2014 - Cyano receded for a while with a fortune of manual removal

October 2014 - Cyano still very much so present - and the start of aptasia V2.0

Nope, you don't need to target feed rics, they are just like any other mushrooms
