Pods!

    Hi guys,

    Is there such a thing as too many pods??........while my tank was cycling they skeemed it was the perfect love nest and i now have gazillions!! My DT glass is full of them and there are obviously plenty in the sump to.
    My little six line wrasse is in pod heaven but he would explode before he managed to dent them!!!

    Now go get a mandarin and it will thrive. No such thing as to many of them as when you put some stock in they will be culled LOL

    Thats what i thought but just wanted to check - it's getting ridiculous!! I'll trade pods for frags........HAHA.........no but seriously!!

    Once the food source for the pods gets depleted they will start to die and the population will subside, they help in cleaning up of some algea and decaing matter (like dead algea and food etc.).

    100% Just starting to see small signs of GHA now so the little b******ds must get to work!!

    How big is the tank? A manderin will quickly decimate the population in a small tank and then run out of food.

    It's a std 1.2m.....I have no desire to keep a mandarin so no worries!!

    I have a twin spot wrasse that I caught that was less than 10mm, I just sumped him for about 2-3months, and he was at least 30mm when I caught him and put him back in the dT
