I always run a po4 media but once also had a problem and as an emergency used a Carib Sea product called Phosbuster. It's a liquid and worked extremely well. Have you introduced any new rock to your tank recently?

My tank has been running from January, no recent LR put in. Maybe I need some more PO4 media as well as phosbuster.

Just make sure your phosguard media you are currently running is in a high flow area. Perhaps you should do a 10% water change as well.

No. I hold the piece of frozen food in the tank. Let the fish nibble at it from my hands

Where do you get your water from?

What is the PO4 of your exchange water?

    What test kits you using?

How old is the test kit?

Ok. Did the test. Its perfect. So must be over feeding or something else that is causing the issue.

Are you talking about the RO water or the replacement salt water?

I set the tank up in Feb. And the PO4 count has been out for the last few tests I have done.

Not good, the frozen water is loaded with P04. Better to thaw the food in RO water using a plastic sieve(R5 at checkers). Im not saying this is causing your problem, but it's certainly contributing..
