    Looks more like Alveopora spp.
Like Goniopora, not an easy coral to keep. It needs low/medium flow (polyps must gently say) and moderate lighting. Unfortunately their survival rates are very low.
Ive had similr issues with people buying me things for my tank. In future, discourage family/friends from buying you coral unless you have given them specific orders on what you would like and what you can look after. Nothing should be added to your tank until you know exactly what it is and what is required to keep it healthy.

My dad really wants to buy a blue devil damsel for my tank!!

What kind of lighting you got? Its best to leave it in a position that has some nice med flow and good light. The more you move it around the more upset it will become

Thread moved, and it's an Alveopora due to the number of tentacles on each stalk.

4 T5's are fine for LPS.. I think, if you have a nice spot high up for it, with medium flow, just leave it there and dont touch it. Corals in general dont like to be moved around

It is an Alveo as stated above. The local fish shop said it was a Garni but i remembered reading about its survival rate somewhere on MASA and left. Went and googled a bit and found it was a Alveo then i purchased it. Its been 4 months since and looks good all the while. I changed my lighting since, running 9 t5's (39w). 5 x 10000k ,2 x coral blue and 2 x actinic. Placed them in the mid section and not too much movement.
