    Hi. I once caught this fish in a rockpool in Ballito.. what wrasse is it and does anyone have pics of the adult? I would really like to get another one...

    That's a clown wrasse if my memory serves

    Pic no 2 looks like a normal yellow wrasse, but it lacks the black dot on the fin. The last pic is a flame angel, not sure about the others

    you have pictures of a Yellow Wrasse (Halichoeres chrysus), Red Coris Wrasse (Coris gaimard) ,Centropyge loricula and a
    Dragon Wrasse (Novaculichthys taeniourus)

    I am a wrasse guy but the only fish from these pictures that I would consider is the pygmy angel. The coris gets huge, the yellow is a bit too plain (Midas blenny for yellow), the dragon wrasse becomes one of the ugliest fish you have ever seen. The flame fairy wrasse....you get much prettier wrasses that are more common.

    Thanks Guys... Dragon Wrasse looks so cool and i like the adult with the white face lol but think ill stick to a few angels

    @michelle34 that wrasse can grow to well over 1 foot and will rearrange your rock work. Just a heads up on it.

    I have one but not planning on getting rid of him he is one of my favorite fish and thankfully both my twin spot and clown wrasse don't move rocks
