Please ID shrimp species?

    I found this little critter in a rockpool when I was collecting goggas, Please ID as all I can find is a pic no species description.

    Michael - same here, mate. I cannot see the pic either. Sorry. HHHmmm - I wonder why it does not show up. Please answer the following:
    - what is the file size?
    - what is the picture size in pixels/dimensions?
    - what is the picture file type?

    Ok this better work this time as it's pissing on my chips so lets hope you can see it now!!!!!!![​IMG]
    This is all I could find on this little bugger ( File & Specimen - CAR 033 ) with pics but no name. I have released it as I didn't know if it would be safe to keep him.

    Looks like a broken-backed shrimp (Hippolyte kraussiana). Sometimes also called a weed shrimp.

    Micheal we see those all the time inbetween the little bit of kelp in the rock pools they are ugly buggers, usualy were you find them you also find glass shrimp

    Really? I was searching for glass shrimp at the same pool but no luck:( will check again over the weekend thanx Trev:thumbup:

    Jacques I really don't understand why some pics I can post directly from the web then this guy just wouldn't show face I can see why as Trev said he is an ugly bugger:lol::lol::lol::lol:

    LOL - you can always try, Michael..... I doubt if any of these shrimps mentioned (except for mantis shrimps) would be detrimental to your tank.
