Please help

    I Had these star like things on the glass of my tank for a week (they come and go) i did some research and apparently they are called Hydroids (NOT SURE THOUGH) any feedback is appreciated

    Are they Harmful ?
    What do they indicate ?

    Those are not good from what I've read, here's a link that you can read thru, hopefully can will find a solution to get rid of them.

    Cladonema jellyfish possibly. Eat small copepods.

    Just keep an eye on them. If they go for your softies they are probably something else.

    Do you have any aiptasia in the tank by any chance?

    no i have none ... my tank is 2 weeks in the cycling process and i have no LS so i can clearly see that there are no aiptasia present :(:(

    I think those are snowflake hydroids. From what I know, they are mainly present in new tanks and should go away on its own. I had a small outbreak when I set up my nano tank last year April and they were gone in a month or so.

    My tank has been running 6 weeks now, I had them in week 2/3 and they have since gone away.
