I got this guy from someone who was shutting down and he had no idea what it was. Best pic I could get. I am thinking a sort of wrasse?

On a side note, you probably should not put fish in your tank if you do not know what they are.
I fully agree and don't usually but this was the only little guy left in his nano tank and if I didn't take him I don't think he would be around anymore. I don't know the guy either or where he got it from unfortunately but I would rather try and save and re-home if and when the need arises than let it die due to ignorance.

Thanks for the ID. I was leaning towards the Ladder Wrasse as well.

Certainly, but the original guy now caused an issue. Not many people would be interested in taking that wrasse, and since it was already in a home aquarium, you should actually not put it back into the ocean, or so I have been advised, as you risk bringing unknown issues into the ecosystem. That is why I made the comment, and I really hope people will learn from it, even if it is just a few.

I myself catch fish along the coast with valid licenses to put into my tank, but I know exactly what I am catching and what their behavior is.
